The High Council of State makes public a new release  
The High State Council announced today in a new release have terminated the powers of the President of the Republic invested on April 19, 2007 and its willingness to organise free and transparent presidential elections in a period which will be the shortest possible.

 Here is the text of this release:

 "The High Council of State from the armed forces and security is composed as follows:

President: General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz

Members:

- The General Mohamed ould Mohamed Cheikh Ahmed

- Major General Felix Negré

- Colonel Ahmed Ould Bekrine

- Colonel Mohamed ould Cheikh Ould El Hadi

- Colonel Mahmoud ould Ghoulam

- Colonel Mohamed Ould Meguet

- Colonel Mohamed ould Mohamed Znagui

- Colonel Adama Oumar Dia

- Colonel Sidi Ould Hanena

- Colonel Ould Ahmedou Bemba Baye.

The High Council of State ended the powers of the President of the republic, invested on April 19, 2007 and will take the necessary steps to ensure the continuity of the State.
