The extraordinary parliamentary session in the Senate was opened Monday in Nouakchott under the chairmanship of Mr. Mamadou Ba said M'Baré, president of the chamber and in the presence of a number of government members.
In a word for the occasion, the chairman of the Senate said to be sure that senators will spare no effort "to save time at this session to examine all projects on its agenda."
He said that the previous session had adopted more than 18 projects and proposals, stressing that the very short gap between the current and the previous session has reduced "the time for our operations close to the people of our respective .
It should be noted that the opening of the current session is in pursuance of Decree No. 30-2009, dated 5 February 2009.
